The Process: Your Step-by-Step Guide to Getting Your Custom Night Guard
Follow the simple process to ensure a perfect fit with our at-home impression kits
How does the at-home impression process work?
We send you a professional impression kit containing dental putty, trays, and step-by-step illustrated instructions. You mix the putty, seat the tray, and bite down for the time indicated. The process takes approximately ten minutes. If you're uncertain about your impression before returning it, email us a photo first and we'll confirm its suitability at no charge.
What if I make a mistake with my impression?
The putty is forgiving and the instructions are clear. However, if your impression isn't suitable, we'll let you know and send replacement putty so you can redo it. We'd rather you get it right than rush it.
How long does the whole process take?
Your impression kit is dispatched within 1–2 business days of your order. Once we receive your completed impression, your guard is crafted and dispatched within 5–7 working days. Door to door, most customers have their guard within two weeks.
Can I email you before returning my impression?
Absolutely, and we encourage it if you have any doubt. Send a clear photo to [email protected] and our team will confirm whether it's suitable before you post it.

What is the difference between the Soft Guard and the Dual Laminate?
The Soft Guard is made from flexible material throughout; comfortable, lightweight, and ideal for mild-to-moderate grinding. The Dual Laminate has a hard acrylic outer shell for maximum protection with a soft inner lining for comfort, and is our recommended choice for moderate-to-severe bruxism and TMJ sufferers.
Is this the same quality as a dentist-provided night guard?
Yes. Our guards are manufactured in our own dental laboratory to EU clinical standards, using the same materials and processes used by dental practices. Many of our customers have switched from dentist-provided guards specifically because ours are equivalent in quality at a significantly lower cost.
Will it be comfortable to wear?
Because your guard is made from a precise impression of your own teeth, the fit is exact, not an approximation. The Dual Laminate’s soft inner lining is particularly comfortable. Most customers are wearing their guard every night within the first week.
How long does a night guard last?
With regular use and proper care, a Dual Laminate guard typically lasts 1–2 years. A Soft Guard typically lasts 1–2 years depending on the severity of grinding. We’ll send you care instructions with your guard.
Is there a peppermint flavour option?
Yes, you can request peppermint flavouring on the Soft NightGuard. Just select it when ordering.. Adding peppermint flavouring costs an additional €10

Is online payment secure?

What is your returns policy?
Because each guard is custom-manufactured to your impression, we cannot offer refunds once production has begun. However, we can provide a remake at no additional charge to ensure the fit and comfort are right. Contact us as early as possible with any concerns.
What if I lose my guard?
We store your dental mould in our laboratory indefinitely. If you need a replacement, contact us, no new impression required. Existing customers receive a discounted replacement price.
Do you ship outside Ireland?
We currently ship to anywhere in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland only.
